A watch doesn’t look like other Rolex watches, it is a Rolex watch that rarely inherits Rolex’s traditional features, but it is being sold at a high price.

Mercedes-Benz hands, it’s dial design is similar to Submariner’s, Arabic numeral luminous markers at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, smooth bezel, similar to Ref 16200, low key, but good looking.

Rolex Ref 114270 is equipped with Cal 3130 movement, but is the only one Cal 3130 that has been certified by COSC.

In fact, we can get the actual quality of the Cal 3130 movement from one side, the reason why a lot of 3130 movements had not done the COSC testing is Rolex has taken the commercial factors into account – pull the grade of product lines and price gap.

There is also a story about Ref 114270 – everyone thought that 114270 was specially designed for the explorers to climbing Mount Everest. In fact, Ref 114270 was produced after Everest.

The most worthy steel Rolex watches are Ref 114270, or Ref 14060M.

The Rolex Explorer Experience

Hello Fellow Explorers! (updated 3/11/2011)
This is the betta version of this blog. It is still new and some work is in progress.
The following outlines will give some basic idea behind this blog:

Watch if you do have one:
1.This blog is created more or lest to appreciate any Explorer whom really owned the Rolex Explorer.
2. Why do you choose the Explorer?
3.To share the true experience of an Explorer with the Explorer
4. Photos!Yeah , of course! We need photos of the Explorer in action. Perhaps with some scars :-)

Experience:
 Here we defined the Explorer as below:
1. Must have been visited at least 4 countries abroad.
2. Distance more than 10,000 km journey - accumulatively.
3. Duration more than a week journey on a single trip.
4. Must have subject of interest or investigation to be shared with.
5. Must at least own a Rolex Explorer, before or after the exploration.
6. Or keen to own the Explorer as self-reward for the achievement.
7. Mountaineers are Explorers in a different class. You are excluded from item 1 and 2 but must inform the highest peak that you have reached.

This blog is a tribute to the watch and the men in some manner, and some spare the money on the trips before s/he can eventually purchased the Explorer after sometimes. We comprehend that very well sirs! Anybody can submit and share their experience, but priority is to the Explorers as defined above.

Again this blog is for Explorer/Adventurer in its true sense. Thus, let share your passion/study/investigation/accomplishment/achievement in your subject of interest with the rest of the Explorers. It must be a great story!

Language? Not a big problem, just write!
As I don't think Tenzing Norgay had a good command in English or perhaps writting when he conquered the highest peak on earth, and yet he got the Expy on his wrist. Correct me if I'm wrong sirs.

Anyway, you must be an explorer before the Explorer deservely placed on your wrist right? Not necessarily :-) Because I personally appreciate other watches too.
